One of my favorite parts of my job is entertaining! We had 100 guests here today for a business luncheon and so this is what I got to do today! It was so fun. I searched for the perfect recipes months ago came up with the entire menu. Chef Chester worked his magic and made it happen! I arranged all the flowers and think my centerpieces were the bomb diggetty! I am grateful I spent some time in my past life working for a catering company. My life goal would be to go to culinary school someday. Most of you know I love to cook and entertain but for now this is a great avenue for me to be creative a few times a year! The Salmon and Chicken recipes are so fabulous, so I will have to post them soon, I PROMISE!

I have never seen such a mess maker in my life! The funny thing is, I see her doing the exact things that use to drive my momma bonkers when I was young. We have never had so many walls drawn on, food smeared and random candy wrappers all over the house. Now that it is warm, add piles of sand everywhere as she brings her mud pies in the house. Gone are the days that I could leave a candy dish out for guests to enjoy! She is a true delight, but at the end of every day Jus and I are WIPED! Thank goodness she's at least starting to sleep in her own bed at night!

Watch Out....

Starsky & Hutch better watch out, Ethan's on the scene! I just love the dollar store...not only can you get great toys that fall apart the first time you play with them, you're sure to get a laugh or two out of them before hand. I rarely post about this guy. He is always dodging the camera and over in a corner being shy somewhere. He has really blossomed lately and come out of that little shell of his. Who knew that inside him is someone so funny, sweet and kind. We put him in a new preschool in January and really worried how he would do with the change. He rides the bus with Isaac every day and attends preschool at the same elementary that Isaac goes to. He loves it. He went from really not knowing any of the alphabet (and not caring to learn), to now reading! I just can't believe it. He's always the one trying to help his little sis out these days, even if it means having a tea party or playing with barbies....Gosh I love him!

April Snow Showers....

If April Showers bring May flowers, what do April snow showers bring...apparently MORE SNOW! We have woke up to snow every morning this week I think. WHAT? What about the nice, beautiful weather we had last week? Tweeter made this little mini "No Man" as she calls them! She was really sad to go outside the next day and find nothing but a heap of candy on the ground. Then she ate the candy and was happy again....I NEED SPRING ASAP!

Who's the BEST????

A conversation witnessed in our car driving home from Arts night at the boy's school last night. I was showing Justin some dress patterns that my friend Becky and I are going to learn to sew (or should I say I want Beck to teach me).....

Isaac: "Mom, why is Becky so smart and knows hoew to do everything?" Then he answers his own question..."Oh, yeah it's because she has been going to church a lot longer than you and Jesus talks to her more, right?"
I am just laughing and then Ethan replies to Isaac, "Yeah, Becky does know how to do everything."

See, even MY KIDS think you are AMAZING! You know, they are RIGHT....I am so glad you have been going to church longer than me so you can teach me to be a better seamstress LOL!

Feeding Sweet Pea Jelly Beans

Did you know that rabbits (or at least our rabbit) LOVES JELLYBEANS! Here is little Tweeter smuggling beans to her baby. I went to the store and got Sweet Pea yogurt bites for rabbits. I am sure giving her jelly beans all the time would not be very good for her. So, I now go every morning and let her out and give her a little treat. She makes this really cute little squeak as if to thank me. I love her! She went to school for show and tell this week and came to my work for pet therapy for the Alzheimer's patients. She is quite the working girl! I want her to be handled a lot so she like being around people. Cute little Abby has been hopping around the house pretending to be a little bunny. What fun! Justin and I are building a little home outside for her so when the weather is nice, she will be able to get fresh air and sunshine!

Sunday Morning Breakfast

The topic of discussion at the breakfast table this morning was our bunny. I was explaining to the children that we don't want to tease or chase the bunny, that will just make her crazy and not calm. Isaac replies with a comment that, "Yeah, we don't want it to be crazy like that one dude Fandango (Van Gough) and cut off it's nose." You can imagine, Justin and I were laughing so hard! He went to the movies with friends yesterday and must have seen one of those funny Fandango commercials and got a little mixed up. I love the painter Van Gough and against my better judgement shared his story with Isaac once. Well, at least he'll be well prepared for Art History someday ten years from now!

Cousins are the BEST!

Woops...I forgot to post this one but aren't cousins the best? These kids love one another so much!

Happy Birthday Aunt Nicki!

We had such a great time celebrating my sis in laws 21st Birthday (AHEM!) in Provo Canyon last weekend. She is such a talented person, I love just being around her. Nicole is always so giving toward others and shares her gifts so freely. She is a great mom. Nicole was a costume design major at BYU. She is always making these great things for her kids. Their costumes are ALWAYS the BEST! She has taught me to do some wonderful stuff and I hope to learn more from her! She is the only woman I know that could put up with Derrin (come on, you know you're a tough case) especially because these Hill boys are so stubborn. Nicole is a great spiritual example to those around her. I am so glad to call her my sister!

Rock & Mineral Show

As a mom of two stinky boys, I sometimes find myself doing things that are totally out of my range of interests. I took them to the "Rock Show" this past weekend in Spanish Fork. We all had so much fun! Each of them were able to get a Geode to take home and break open with their dad. We saw lots of beautiful rocks and even rocks that really glow in the dark. Who knew rocks could be so cool. The each left with their own bag of rocks to look at and trade with one another. I am grateful for my boys and all the wonderful things they teach me every day.
