I woke up from my Sunday nap to find our stinky boys out on the patio swinging and listening to their sweet tunes.
Ethan has every Super Mario Brothers song loaded into that thing!
Isaac loves the Aquabats and Gorillaz.
They are too cool for school!

Then I went in the bathroom and found little sweetie on the floor with her dad's I-Phone watching an episode of Sponge Bob that she probably downloaded herself!

It's also worth mentioning that they are turning into little "toe heads" overnight. They'll be totally blonde by next week!

INTRODUCING......

Our New Saturday Morning Project...

Meet twins Jaxon and Shaun....or "the shorties" as Mr. Hill refers to them.
They are our sweet 2 year old twin nephews.
Aren't they gorgeous?
They have quite an amazing story actually.
They shared only one placenta and at some point one baby was starving the other.
Skilled surgeons went in when their mom was 5 months pregnant and operated on them and fixed the problem!
They are little miracles!
We get to watch them a couple of Saturdays a month this summer while their momma is at school.
We're really glad to have them...but can you say....BUSY!

Flashback Friday

Remember that time recently when I said that I have always had special people in my life?
Meet Jerilyn....
She's one that is a list topper!
I worked for her through my high school years and lived with her family my senior year.
She did my hair for the senior prom, let me raid her closet whenever I wanted, helped me get ready for college and sent me on my way.
Most importantly, she filled me up at a very empty time of my life.....
Through the years she's given me so much love and support.
I remember once when Justin was picking me up for a date my senior year and had just purchased some fancy new sports car, Jerilyn looked at him and said,
"I don't see any room for any car seats in there."
We were both blushing. Car seats were the furthest thing in our mind at that time.
I do love her, so very much.

Recipe of The Week

Chicken Ranch Entree Salad
I love making Sunday night meals into something different on Mondays.
We like to grill out, well always..but especially on Sundays.

Here's another made up recipe where you basically toss all the following and anything else you can think of together:

Grilled Chicken
Chopped Romaine Lettuce
Parmesan Cheese
Black Olives
Carrots, Broccoli, Tomatoes, Celery
Croutons
Avocado (Justin's favorite...NOT)
Toss together with Ranch Dressing and serve with a bread stick & smoothie

Our Kids DIG this meal...
But this guy, he DIGS every meal. He's a FOOD GUY like his daddy!
He recently said to me, "Mom you always make good food for us."
Thanks buddy, I sure try!

It's That Time Again...

Time to play in the sprinklers, make sand pies, catch bugs, have picnics, climb the fence, swing high, blow bubbles, run naked (sorry Listons).....
AND EAT WATERMELON!
We've Missed slurpping and spitting and filling our jaws with the sweet stuff!

Recipe of the Week

My Very Own Corn Chowder

WHAT? Snow in Utah...today? Yes I say. That made it a SOUP day.
We even skipped soccer, too weak to braze the cold. LAME....I know..
It's 80 degrees in Missouri for peat's sake!

Start with 2T chicken bullion, 2 C water, 3 peeled and thinly sliced potato pieces, 1 chopped stalk of celery, 1 t chopped onion and 1/4 C bacon bits.
Bring to a boil until potatoes and celery are tender.
Add 3 C Corn and cook for 5-7 minutes.
Add 4-6 cups milk (depending on desired thickness)
Whisk in 2T flour and stir.
Simmer about 10 minutes.

It's someone's favorite.....

I keep thinking about this awesome little place Justin and I found while walking around SoHo called LUSH.
Ahhhh the lotions and potions and soaps galore!
Ahhh the smells & the spells!

It's been 11 years of lots of ups and downs to get this little guy here and I couldn't be more thrilled for her and hubby Brett!
