Road Trippin'

In the early years of our marriage, Justin and I used to take the drive up in Uintas once a year. We even got stuck and had a snowball fight in late June of 2000. The last time we did this gorgeous road trip Isaac was a baby....

LUCKY...we saw a moose just as we entered the park, he's running away from us here....

I think it's funny that Isaac chose to wear his "INDOOR PERSON" t-shirt for this trip.

Away We Go...to some beautiful country.

The trip had plenty of attitude, believe me....

We found the falls,

Where we explored,

got wet and muddy,

and had a yummy picnic prepared by yours truly.

After all these years, it still amazes me that we get to live in such a wondrous place....

We even learned to get water the old fashioned way.

This Little Lady....

Is a little independent like her momma.
It almost got her into some REALLY HOT water last week....
She went to a friend's house to play a few blocks away and decided she would just walk herself home.....
In her swimsuit...
On a very busy street.....

I can't stop thanking my lucky stars that my angel was blessed to make it safely home.
We had a good parent/child talk that night as you can imagine.

Oh how I LOVE this little wonder!

10 Years Ago Today...

In 2000, with my good friend Zina...Look at me, such a youngling.

I started a new job....
One that would change my life FOREVER.

These past 10 years working for Courtyard at Jamestown have been perfectly amazing.
Looking back at the lessons I have learned in those walls, I'm astounded.
I find the love I get caring for our residents to be profoundly wonderful.
I'm deeply blessed to have a career that values my virtues as a mother.
I'm thankful that my work takes care of me as much as I take care of it...
Maybe even more.

Few things these days bring out true imagination in this way.

What an amazing experience yesterday was. It was a beautiful way to remember the special boy that we all love and miss. A special thanks to the Kofford Family for making it a wonderful day for all of us and for giving back to our community. Your strength and stellar example is a blessing to the world.
