Sending a great big thanks to our beautiful sister in law Liz for treating us to a yummy homemade dinner and this great cake! We had spent a good part of the day at Primary Children's doing routine vision tests with Abby so it was such a nice time to visit, eat (and eat) and relax at their house before heading back to the valley.

Strawberry Chocolate Cake

What You Need

Strawberry Chocolate Cake

5 squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, divided

6 Tbsp. butter or margarine

3/4 cup sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

2 eggs

1-1/4 cups flour, divided

1/2 tsp. baking soda

3/4 cup water

1-1/2 cups thawed COOL WHIP DIPS Strawberry Crème

1 cup sliced strawberries

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Place 3 of the chocolate squares and the butter in large microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.

STIR in sugar and vanilla until well blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating with electric mixer on low speed after each addition until well blended. Add 1/4 cup of the flour and the baking soda; mix well. Add remaining 1 cup flour alternately with the water, beating until well blended after each addition. Pour evenly into 9-inch round cake pan sprayed with cooking spray.

BAKE 30 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 min.; remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely. Top with the COOL WHIP DIPS and strawberries just before serving. Melt remaining 2 chocolate squares as directed on package; drizzle over cake. Let stand until chocolate is set. Store in refrigerator.

Girl's Night

We had such a fun time out with our Courtyard girls eating HERE in Provo. The company was enjoyable, the food delicious and the laughter contagious! I'm so grateful wot work with such a fine group of ladies. I'm also grateful that Abby is an honorary member of girl's night!

Spinach For Dinner....

....Wasn't a Hit! I realized that I have never given our kids steamed spinach. Well, as you can see most of it ended up right back in my lap! Good thing Justin and I love it with a little vinegar. YUM! YUM!

Cinderella, Cinderella

We took these sweet girls to The Cinderella Ballet at BYU last week. They were such a delight! Abby said her favorite part was where Cinderella and Price Charming got married (mine too).
The sets and costumes were spectacular!

Conversation Hearts....

PARTY HARDY....would best describe our day yesterday. Except for the 2 hours I spent in the pediatrician's office with a sick little girl (strep test positive) who has to stay home from school. I love spending time in the class with my kids on party days. It was cute Ethan's turn. I want to give a special shout our to Mr. Hill who tapped into his "crafty side" and helped all these kiddos get their V-Day bags ready a few days before the party. That man is handy with a hot glue gun!

We started out day with this goodness. It's seriously the best thing I've ever eaten...EVER!

Take one LOW calorie croissant :)
Slice it open
Stuff it with cream cheese and strawberries
Dip each side in egg and fry like a piece of french toast
Top with syrup, more strawberries and a little powdered sugar.

I'm in LOVE.

Tonight's big plans include a family candlelight dinner, dancing in the living room and this movie.
I adore it because it was one of the first dates Justin and I ever went on way back when.

Abby Hill
