These are some creative kiddies! They had a great time making their family candy house this year. It was fun to see them work so well together (for once) and have such a wonderful time.

Here's a conversation between my 5 year old daughter and I early yesterday morning as she climbed into bed at the crack of dawn to "nuggle" with Justin and I,
Me: "Abby you are so freezing cold what are you doing?"
Abby: "I'm laying next to one hot momma that's what I'm doing mom!"
There's a boy named Gabe in her kindergarten class who keeps telling her that her mom is hot, ha ha....that makes me laugh so hard. Well, apparently she agrees. Thank you very much.

Of the fruits of my Christmas crafting. With the help of a couple of friends, we came up with some really cute gifts this year. You may even find one under your tree from me!

He's at the VERY top of my list.....I know, I know Thanksgiving is over but today and always, I'm giving thanks for my best friend and husband. He does so much for me and for our family. I'm grateful that we can share our lives together in so many ways.

Oh yes we did...We got last minute premiere tickets so on a weeknight, the Mr. and I got a sitter and took off. My favorite parts of the movie were: 1. My sexy hot date who held my hand and fed me popcorn and hot tamales. 2. Another great soundtrack (listen for yourself) My least favorite parts were: 1. Everything else. Enough said.

It seems like the older the kids get, the more simple and easy their parties become. There's no longer as much emphasis on games and activities and more on just hanging out with your friends. Isaac wanted to have his best buds over (no girls allowed) and play nerf wars and have pizza. That was after an all weekend birthday party he had with cousins sleeping over, eating out and playing laser tag! It's hard to believe that he's 9. Justin and I marvel every day at how sweet and special we know this guy is!

The Halloween fun just never ends around here. Even Super-Dad was along for this non-stop Halloween Party ride. Thanks to my sweetheart we were able to pull off two classroom parties full of ghostly surprises! I just love his guts!

And soccer coach...As I taught the 4-6 year old pinks this year I was teaching myself. I learned all about dribbling, scoring goals, drills, and scrimmages. I learned that coaching the little girls is much more challenging than helping with the boys teams. I learned that you-tube can help you with many things, even if it's making you look like you're a real coach. I learned that no matter how much time you devote to volunteering, there are some parents that just aren't happy with anything you do (especially those ones that fail to step up and offer a helping hand). It was a great season and all three of our kids had a blast. The big pay off was seeing all those girls have fun and really start to work together by the end. Most of Abby's games were at the same times as Isaac's so I didn't get many photos of him, but he did awesome! Now, we're glad for life to settle down to a little more of a normal pace for a little while.

It's amazing to me the synergy that happens when you get all the right people together, at the right time, to do something bigger than ourselves. This was such a day. I feel so grateful to my awesome team of helpers, to the donors who gave of their goods and money and time. I want to give a shout out to my friends at KINDLE CREEK who sang their hearts out for us. The grand total was just under $21,000 in donations and I'm tickled! I've already accepted the job again for next year!

There is no greater joy than spending the weekend with family. This is my big brother...We had such a great time at my grandparent's home in the Lake of the Ozarks catching up and having fun!
