Oh The Places you'll Go...

It's Been Sooooo Long and I'm ashamed!

1.  Life is crazy, but you already knew that.
2.  I've been focusing on the more simple things in life and I'm a lot happier.  I spend more time at HOME and have learned to say no, very well.  My family is so happy about this. I feel contented.
3. My camera broke.
4.  There's This.....it's been in the "works" for a little while....

Dear Treasured Friends,

One of my favorite sayings has always been a quote by Abraham Lincoln, “Whatever you are, be a good one”.  When I became part of the Courtyard at Jamestown team, I was a 23 year old young woman who had just uprooted her life in Missouri to move to Utah.  I knew not a soul here except for my sweet husband.  I missed my grandparents, parents, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends so much.    Looking back, I also knew little about the world and what other people needed.  Coming to work here was like being home each and every day as I was surrounded by so many friends and family members who shared a mutual goal…to seek love in all that we do.  I learned from your examples that the service and kindness we show to one another is really the only thing that matters.  I learned to be a better person.  Spending my life as part of this team for the past 12 years has molded and helped me to be “good” in so many ways than I was before I came here.   Over that time I tried to be a friend, a helper, a problem solver to all that needed me.  In return all of you have been the same to me.
I often think about the valuable lessons of my early days here and how I was taught to love more deeply than before.  I think for me that love became the foundation for me to be able to be the kind of mother the children I would be given would need.  I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to share my children’s early years with you.  Having each of you to love them has and will forever have a huge impact on our family’s life.  I just want each of you to know how much we all have enjoyed the rich things we have experienced together here at Courtyard at Jamestown.
I deeply value the love and life experience I have gained during the precious years I’ve spent here.  I’m proud to say that I was part of something so special.  I think we made the world a better place together.   I hold sacred the lifelong friendships and associations I have made while working here.   And as Dr. Seuss once said, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”  I wish all of you the very best.  I’ll always be smiling because Courtyard at Jamestown happened to me.
Please continue to keep in touch.  I’ll be pursuing an exciting career opportunity with iCare Home Health & Hospice.  I can be reached at mindy@icarehhh.com.

Thank you all for the smiles and the memories.  It’s time to make some more!
