Memories

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

I totally remember the first time I met you. It was at a luncheon at Courtyard at Jamestown. I don't even know if we officially met, but I just remember how professional you were and how impressed I was with you when you got up to say something to the entire group. The more time that passes the more impressed I am with you. That first impression was right on!

I also remember you every time I see something you have given us...you are a truly generous and thoughtful person. I really can't go far without seeing something you have given us...t's Teddy Bear, Syd's Piggy Bank, my perfume, that red frame....etc, etc... I am so glad we are friends! Oh and I remember that bbq we had at your house with Cory and his wife and the rosemary red potatoes that you made. Mmmmmmmm!

Oh where do I begin...of course there's the "dress exchange" for our dance that we went to as each other's date. I still love that picture.

I remember when you first came to CJ (then Prestige) and right away I just loved your energy and enthusiasm. The other girls in the office were not the nicest (to put it nicely), so it was great to finally have someone to bond with.

I remember you and I taking Lindsay out for lunch right before she got married. I wonder if we scared her or helped her with the stories we shared. hehehe

I don't truly remember the first time I met you...but I know I remember thinking, "Mindy is so happy. She smiles constantly!" I do remember going bowling with everyone (do you remember that? we all had strange names).

I also remember going out to dinner a few times, seeing you pregnant the first 2 times (you looked so cute).

I love that you fit so comfortably in my family as if you were my own daughter. So friendly and kind to all. Your beautiful little children show you are being a great parent and teaching them the values of life that will help them leave a great mark in this world.

Oh Mindy! Where do I begin....I remember the first time that I watched baby Isaac. He was maybe 2.5 months, b/c Bryn was just two weeks old. I also remember when you came and visited me in the hospital the day I had Bryn. I remember our Vegas trip. What a blast. The drake, you jumping on the bed and putting a hole in Rick's cieling. All the many WAY creative birthday parties that you throw for your beautiful kido's, and yes, I will ALWAYS remember my 30th birthday this last year! Thanks for all of the great times.

I remember when I first started at work and you brought in some lists and schedules for us to laminate for your babysitter...I just remember thinking "Wow, this lady really has it together!!" As I got to know you better and better through courtyard I have come to realize just how amazing, compassionate, giving, and fun you are.
And now that I see your blog it looks like I can add wonderful mommy, great cook, and creative to the list of great things about you!

Mindy... you are an incredible person all around. I have often thought to myself, "When I grow up, I want to be just like Mindy!" You have such a happy energy about you and I just love it!

One of my best memories of us was at Courtyard at Jamestown. You remembered Jayden's birthday and you made it really special for me. You made a cake and gave me the sweetest card. It really was so very thoughtful of you.

I feel so blessed you and your family are our friends. We just need to get together more often!

Love you!

Ok, I will play along... Although we knew each other sophomore year, I would say we really became friends as juniors. One of my favorite memories was College History our senior year - we walked back from lunch (it was a split period) and all decided it would be funny to stand in our chairs. Mr. Page promptly stood on his desk and taught the rest of the class - making us take notes standing up.

Oh, one more - dressing as Yin and Yang for homecoming week. Thanks for the nickname, Mr. Thomas!!!
